Booktalk at Balwyn Library

Do you need some suggestions for new authors and good books? Do you find it hard to get your hands on a really good book despite there being so many out there?

Come to one of our booktalks and see what the library staff are reading.  We will introduce you to new titles and review old favourites.  A selection of new books will be available for loan.

The next booktalk will be at Balwyn Library on Monday 17 October at 11:00 am


Refreshments will be served.

Our new series of talks is coming soon!

Our first talk is on Op Shops with Kelly Lainson

Kelly is a resourceful and enthusiastic bargain hunter. She is the author of The Op Shop Guide (Victoria), a stylish, practical and easy reference directory to locating and shopping at these valuable outlets.

This book provides the perfect companion for short-term and long-term op shoppers. Kelly will talk about her research and share her observations and tips on this increasingly popular shopping experience.
This session is free but bookings are essential.
